Animal Blessing Ballina 30/11/2008
North West SPCA's annual Animal Blessing was held at St Muredachs, Ballina on Sunday 30th November, Father Gabriel Rosbotham presided and our grateful thanks to him and for his wonderful compassion for animals. The Blessing of the Animals has become a favourite event where people and their pets come together in thanksgiving for all creatures.
It is wonderful to see so many beautiful pets who are so obviously loved and well cared for. Sadly for a large number of animals in Mayo this is not the case. North West SPCA is made up entirely of volunteers and are working continuously rescuing abandoned and unwanted animals. If anyone would like to offer assistance be it by fostering or helping to raise funds or even by setting up a Standing Order for as little as €10 a month please contact us at nwspca@gmail.com or call into our shop.
