Financial Support

North West SPCA have been lucky to receive the grants below in 2008, which have gone a very long way in helping us to help all the animals in our care.

In 2006 our veterinary/boarding costs totalled €45,786, in 2007 they increased by 55% to €71,099 and we expect that the next audit will show an increase in 2008 costs. All other costs, are raised by NWSPCA volunteers who give of their time freely.

 Ballina Town Council

In June 2008, Ballina Town Council awarded NWSPCA a grant for which we are very grateful.

Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Food

The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Mr Brendan Smith TD has awarded NWSPCA a grant of €15,000 in December 2008.  We are delighted with the award and the fact that the Department acknowledges the much needed work of NWSPCA.

Pedigree Adoption Drive in conjunction with the Kennel Club Charitable Trust

In June 2008 NWSPCA were awarded a grant  from the Pedigree Adoption Drive/Kennel Club Charitable Trust.
It is a wonderful boost to all our volunteers that the work we do is recognised and valued to this extent.
