Georges Corner
Hi Boys and Girls,
My name is George and I’m the editor of the kids corner on the NWSPCA site. On this page you’ll find fun, games and facts about animals. I have a nice home with nice humans who look after me, they take me for walks, buy my favourite food and bring me to the vets if I’m sick and get my eyes tested once a year. Life was not always this good. Once I was homeless with no humans to look after me but the NWSPCA found nice people for me to live with and life is now good. And now that its coming up to Christmas remember to tell your parents that a dog is for life and not just for Christmas, and if they do want a dog tell them that rescued dogs are best, I should know....
If you have any questions you would like to ask me why not contact me nwspca@gmail.com.
George's Little Helper
Puppies can be a lot of work and George needs all the help he can get, some times they are a little wriggly. As you can see here Mia George's number one helper is finding it hard to hold onto all the puppies. She is very kind to the puppies which makes George very happy. It is nice when children are kind to animals.

George Says
Q: How fast can a dog run?
A: Most dogs can run at speeds of up to nineteen miles per hour when running at full speed, but the Greyhound family are the fastest, they’re able to reach speeds up to forty-four miles per hour!
George Says: It depends on what’s for supper!
Q: Why do dogs love lakes, but not rain?
A: Most Dogs don't like the rain. It’s not because they’re afraid of getting wet, but because the rain makes a loud noise and hurts their sensitive ears.
George Says: Why not carry an umbrella!
Q: How sensitive is a canines nose?
A: The dog nose works 1 million times more efficiently than the human nose, but only for smells that are of doggie importance – like BBQ steaks and bacon. The smell of flowers, on the other hand, is not very interesting to them.
George Says: He could smell a sausage at 100 yards! Mm what’s cooking sausages?
